UAE E-Invoicing Guide
This guide summarises the UAE e-invoicing rollout using current Ministry of Finance guidance. Confirm your own scope and obligations with the official guidance and your advisers.
1. Voluntary implementation
Voluntary implementation is available from 1 July 2026 for persons who choose to onboard and meet the technical requirements.
2. Mandatory implementation
Mandatory implementation is phased. In-scope persons with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more have a mandatory implementation date of 1 January 2027. In-scope persons below AED 50 million have a mandatory implementation date of 1 July 2027. Government entities have a mandatory implementation date of 1 October 2027.
3. ASP appointment
The ASP appointment deadline for persons with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more was extended to 30 October 2026 by a May 2026 Ministry of Finance amendment. For persons below AED 50 million and in-scope government entities, the ASP appointment deadline is 31 March 2027.
4. Prepare your systems
Review your ERP or accounting system, customer and supplier master data, tax data, invoice document types, integration approach and ASP connection before the applicable deadline.
